Me and my friend visited Handi for dinner, we were promptly seated and shown the menu which was lovely. A massive variety of BBQ chicken which is great as alot of places do not have any meat options! The meal was fab and the butter naan was the best I have ever had! Would definitely come back and value for money! Only thing they did try to push you to have a drink other than water but most places seem to in India!

The LP strongly recommend a shop along the main road jaipur very easy to find it. People comfortable store environment is simple, natural inevitably come here to eat the most authentic lamb curry, naan bread accompanied you. Curry is really very fragrant, and there is no kind of sweet Japanese curry, more inclined to directly stimulate the taste buds feeling torn by hand Nang cake, then dipped in curry sauce is really delicious.

We went to Handi for a family dinner and since there were a healthy mix of carnivores and vegetarians amongst us ordered a cross section of food from the menu. The food was really very good especially the jungli Maas and Handi chicken along with the malai kofta and naan Would def visit again

Make Kadhai Chicken at home

Kadai Chicken is one of the most famous non-veg delight in restaurants !!

This spicy & yummy North Indian recipe tastes juicy with distinct flavor of bell pepper.

In this recipe, the chicken is cooked in red gravy with whole spices. This dish takes its real color & flavor by cooking in a thick bottomed vessel called Kadhai in India.

Making kadhai chicken at home is really easy..!

Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken, washed, cleaned and cut into big pieces
  • 4 tablespoons oil
  • 1/2 cup onion, sliced
  • 1 1/2 cups tomatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon ginger paste
  • 1 tablespoon garlic paste
  • 4 teaspoons garam masala powder
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 4 whole red chilies
  • 2 teaspoons coriander seeds
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • Salt

Preparation

  1. Grind coriander seeds and whole red chillies into a coarse powder.
  2. Heat oil in a kadhai.
  3. Add bay leaves.
  4. After about 30 seconds, add onions and saute till they turn light golden brown.
  5. Add ginger-garlic paste.
  6. Saute for 2 minutes on medium flame.
  7. Add the above coarse powder.
  8. Stir well.
  9. Add tomatoes and cook till they are fully cooked.
  10. Add chicken pieces, salt to taste and red chilli powder.
  11. Mix well.
  12. Cover the kadai.
  13. Cook till the chicken becomes tender.
  14. Sprinkle garam masala powder over the chicken.
  15. Garnish with corriander leaves and onion rings.
  16. Serve hot with rotis or parathas.

It tastes great with Indian Naan, Roti, Paratha, Chapati or even with plain rice !!

Remembering Pancham Da

A prolific singer, composer and actor, Mr. Rahul Dev Burman (RD Burman or RD), was born on June 27, 1939 in Calcutta. He worked with his father, the well-known music composer and director Sachin Dev Burman before he went on to become an independent music director.

RD Burman has left behind his indelible stamp on Indian film music, especially Hindi film music or Bollywood as it is now known. RD or Pancham as he was known to his friends and family was constantly in search of new sounds, especially global sounds as Prof Greg Booth puts it. It is also said that he was the one who introduced elements of funk, jazz and garage rock into his sound.

In memory of the legendary music director who revolutionized the world of Bollywood music with his soulful songs and innovative fusion music, Lounge Mayaa pays tribute to Late R.D. Burman on his 73rd birth anniversary.
